A few rogue questions

Never got a rogue high level in classic. Was wondering if sense/disarm traps, pick lock, and poisons were worth it? From the wiki it looks like there are only 3 doors pickable, and only one of them is in a dungeon (which is below my level)

Also, I'm 17 and just left crushbone, was wondering whether Kunark or Antonica had more people LFG?

thanks :)

Sense / disarm trap is not very useful; sense traps will make you face the nearest trap while disarming it will stop it for a few seconds from working.

Poisons seems to be very expensive to train so, personally, i don't do it.

I think, altho not sure, that at your level, Antonica has more people lfg (in upper guk or even oasis of marr, for example)

Pick locks is needed in Kunark 100%

From Seb to KC to Chardok to HS

Disarm and sense trap and poisons not so much

get yourself a DE mask and get a bind in OT and enjoy kunark

I know of sense and disarm traps being needed in the Luclin expansion, don;t know about Kunark. Pick lock is needed for various doors: CoM and Chardok on the top of my head. Don't forget hide & sneak for scouting and corpse retrieval, a must in raiding situations. Poisons, from my Luclin/PoP style view, not so much. I never bothered. I am sure, there are a couple of occasions where you can use to gain an advantage, but I haven't missed it then.

Check out Howling stones, everything except the first and last key are NO RENT, but I believe rogues can pick those doors.

That's just one example, I'm pretty sure actual rogues can offer you even more.

Too bad about the poisons/traps. Me and a few friends just got done playing baldurs gate 2 online and it was pretty cool being needed for traps

When you are dead, you won't have a DE mask on you. Make sure you do that in a safe spot.

Why bind in OT instead of FV? It's closer to field of bone and kurns etc

OT is relatively close to FoB/Kurns as well. It's all a matter of preference. I've always preferred being bound in OT.

Pick lock skill 200 is necessary for kunark dungeons. It is a pretty fast skill up. takes about 30 minutes of sitting in befallen.

Sense traps/disarm traps is not that helpful in classic. Honestly I am not sure disarm traps is even working correctly because when I used it in solb the trap did not appear to shut down at all.

Poison can be useful, but it has alot of downsides. It requires that you also take up pottery or know a potter who will sell you vials. It is expensive and tedious to skill up, and its not worth using in most groups. Most worthwhile poisons are made from ingredients that you must loot, which makes it difficult to keep a good supply of the poisons you want. It requires not only that you skill up poison making, but also apply poison which makes it an even more difficult skill up. Personally I have been collecting a few ingredients and banking them and started on pottery skill, but chances are that I will not touch this again until level 60.

At level 17 I was grouping in oasis or upper guk. Both of those zones have decent traffic.
