How to activate the EQ-button ?
 

like title says i want that black-golden EQ-button activated. At home at my pc i have it, here on my notebook i don't, no matter what skin i use. I need it because on this button i have the options to activate my horizontal hotkey bars.

I tried my different skins because i thought maybe it shows up then, but that did not happen. Is there a key combination, or what can i do to have it back ?

Hell, how do you get rid of the damn thing? That's what I want to know.

No one knows ? Maybe i should ask in the technical forum ?

Hey I don't think there is a way to get rid of the button from the original UI. Are you using the original UI? Is it possible you dragged it off screen?? Have you tried reloading the UI from the Alt+O menu? or going back to the default UI and seeing if it was there?

Not sure how many horizontal hotkey bars you need but if you go into Alt+O and you activate hotbars 3 and 4 they should be your horizontal bars ( 1 and 2 are vertical bars)

I'm only just considering checking out P99, but can't you just resize the bars to make any of them horizontal or vertical to your liking? Or was that a newer UI feature?

If you press ALT + O you can open the game options. If you then click on the "Keys" tab you can see all of the key bindings. If you then pick the "UI" category, you can see all of the key bindings to show/hide parts of the UI. There are bindings for every different window/panel/etc. in the UI ... except for the EQ button.

AFAIK there is no way to show/hide that button. There might be some secret option in eqclient.ini, but I'm guessing you just moved it off-screen, either manually/accidentally or due to some bug. Either way, you can almost certainly fix it by doing ALT + O again, and clicking on the "Load UI Skin" button at the bottom of the "General" tab. If you load (or reload) a skin it should reset your UI, and move the button back on-screen.

You don't need the button for that. Each of the hotkey bars has their own key binding which can be used to show/hide them. You can show or change the hotkeys on that same "Keys" tab in the options, and then you can use those keys to show/hide the bars.

Move it off-screen (or at least all off-screen except for one pixel). Or move it behind something else.

I think that comes from the skin you choose. There are lots of different skins to choose from from that era (plus I think some P99ers have made their own), and I would imagine there are some with horizontal and some with vertical bars.

Have to admit, the button is here, i think it was hidden, as you suspected :) ..outside of the screen, somehow i found it again.
