Sboz and Boc which hand?
 

Made a warrior. She has sboz and boc for weps. I know better ratio is off hand and faster primary, but it seems like im killing way faster with Boc main. Is it just because im lvl 20 so the higher dam wins over low hp mobs. Dont know the formulas of dps main vs off, so im asking for help/opinion. Which way should it be. Thanks

Logistically speaking you should be doing more damage with a fast primary especially at low levels

Dmg cap of 30 at level 20 for warrior. No damage bonus.

At this level, for 1h weapons the only thing that matters is ratio (for non proc weapon).

BoC in primary now until you accrue decent damage bonus.

Incidentally the off hand barely swings at 20, I put a proc in off hand until about 24 or so for warriors (off hand procs can happen even when duel wield check fails).

I can't think of something ostentatious enough to be worth pairing out for that role. I'm a bit of a miser when it comes to gear.

SoD obviously. No self-respecting Lv20 warrior would be without one.

So the answer to your question is to use Blade of Carnage in your primary hand from your current level "20" until level 46 and then switch to swift blade of zek in your primary hand.....

Here is why...

The forumla for damage bonus is (CurrentLevel - 25) / 3

The formula for damage is (Base * 2) + Bonus + StrMod ...ignore the str mod

the damage bonus applies only to primary hand. This means that lower delay weapons get better in the primary hand as you level ...

Blade of Carnage 15/23 has a base ratio of about .652

Swift Blade of Zek 11/18 has a base ratio of .611

without accounting for damage bonus, BoC is clearly better

Once you have a damage bonus of 7 however

29/18 (1.611) is greater than 37/23 (1.608) .... ((2 * 11) + 7)/18 > ((2 * 15) + 7)/18

At level 46 your primary damage bonus goes up to 7 because (46 - 25) / 3 = 7

(the server will round down when dividing integers)

This might be true up to level 20 with the damage cap, but the original poster is already level 20. They should be using BoC until level 46 for the reason I explain in the above post.

I had obvious typos in math example above and ignore the str mod. Someone should chime in with more exact math that factors in the strength mod and talks about it too
