Pet Haste Cap

Pets:
Changed Specter pets so they're able to equip items and armor.
Pet-only buffs now automatically attempt to target your pet if you cast them with the wrong target or no target at all.
Fixed a bug that would prevent the creation of Familiars and Warders if the caster had created more than 99 in the same zone during the current game session.
The limit on the amount of haste that can be applied to a pet has been changed (aka. The Pet Haste Cap). The amount of haste that can be placed on a pet now scales with the level of its owner. The scaling occurs in a way that is consistent with how much haste a given caster can place on his own pet (using a Level 56 Magician as an example: The idea is that both Burnout IV and Muzzle of Mardu should be useful).

Wouldn't it make more sense, then, to replace the CHA items with INT
items, so that at least you have the tangible benefit of enough mana for
*another* shot at a mez?

Aug plus fbss is essentially a cap of 50%

i believe he is referring to the original haste bug in game. Through all of vanilla up until kunark sometime, if you had a low level haste item + ANY haste buff, it would shoot you to the haste cap. (I think it was something like 90% @ level 50?).

Sounds like he was making fun of people claiming they "knew" they swung faster with different buffs, when in fact it was the same speed due to bug.

I've heard of the "pet haste cap" but never investigated it to find if it was different than player haste cap. What are you saying the pet haste cap should be?

Unknown from patch notes maybe 65% as it uses B4 and Muzzle as an example.

Augmentation of death is set at 65% as well. So I'd go with 65% as a good starting part. Considering that Savage Spirit and Augmentation apply to charmed pets those would be affected as well.

Muzzle is rather pointless when you have BO4 though. Pet's are capped at 60%
haste (BO3 is already 60%, but BO4 also gives some ac and str next to the
65% haste afaik).
If you want to see the tests do some searches on magiciantower's ezboard.
There are several threads with the tests of BO3, BO4, muzzles and even
shammie's avatar buff.

Oh and there is no chance I'm going to outdamage a hasted 60 ranger or
epicced 60 monk on any fight that lasts longer then my mana pool without my
epic :(

Cool, so ancient spells really WERE put in game (although only on one
mob, contrary to initial promises). Too bad Ancient Burnout is broken due to
the pet haste cap problem.
