Benevolence duration?
 

Hi, 46 Enchanter hunting Troll guards. I'm at "cannot possibly get worse" faction and in a Troll suit + Benevolence on a guard I'm dubious to Bashers. BUT, occasionally, the Benevolence seems to drop early? Is there a duration on this spell, and is it random? The Wiki says "Instant."

It lasts until you zone/die/camp or cast one of the 3 +faction spells on a mob on a different faction.

If you are using a Rod of Insidious Glamour and click it on an NPC on a different primary faction that would cause it to "drop".

Ahhh okay, that makes sense, I can only have a faction spell on one given primary faction at a time? Will Rod of Insidious Glamour's Alliance not overwrite Benevolence even though I can cast it?

Yes you can only have a +faction spell on one primary faction at a time.

Alliance will overwrite Benevolence or Collab and Benevolence or Collab will overwrite Alliance. It's whatever one you cast last.

Ex:
You cast Benevolence on Basher 1
You have +200 faction with The Bashers
You clicky Alliance on Basher 1 five minutes later
You have +100 faction with The Bashers
You cast Benevolence on Basher 1 again
Back to +200 with Bashers


or
You cast Benevolence on Basher 1
+200 faction Bashers
You clicky Alliance on anything not primarily on Bashers faction
You have +0 Bashers

You can only have one +faction bonus at a time from any source. Whatever was cast last will be the one that applies.
