The wiki says they're "The ultimate powerleveling toy."

It's obviously a pet summon effect, but how are they used/what do they do?

they summon a high level pet and any level character can use it. when you are a very low level character this pet can kill red con mobs with ease. Let it die, have your computer crash or die yourself you will be very sad.

so essentially bring it to Crushbone and have it clear the entire zone?

And "expendable" means it cannot be recharged?

Deff don’t use it in crushbone, use the fire pet potion from upperguk for that

correct it cannot be recharged. There were previous threads I suspect you could search for on best places to use these. You would want a zone with wider level range of mobs so you dont use it only to get into the 20s and you also likely want a zone that is more safe from trains since zoning or dying will waste your tooth.

Crushbone is not a good choice because you can't get exp beyond 20.

A zone where there is a wide range of Mobs from 15 to 50 would be the better.

I used one on an alt, and I think a lot of people use them, in the Overthere. There's good corner spots along the wall to keep you safe from mobs. I think I brought my SK from level 20ish to level 40 in one sitting. I dont remember using multiple teeth, but that sounds right.

Yes...Overthere seems to be the most OPTIMAL place to use them, in terms of mob availability, mob level, and safety.

Having a 35+ player with you to act as a puller is highly recommendedl; PREFERABLY someone who can heal and/or tank for you/your summoned pet in an emergency. 50+ bard/shammy/druid work very well. Necro or SK could also work and help increasing killing time by bringing mobs lower on HP and then FDing.

You only get one chance; If you're gonna spend 20k+ on the item better you be safe than sorry.

Then again 20-30k is a drop in the bucket for some people on P99 so if you're one of those fattest-of-cats.....then who really cares?

You also might as well split the cost of the tooth with someone and group with them. Experience should be the same as their won't be a pet penalty anymore.
