New Wiki Feature: Track Your Solo Artist Challenge Achievements
Ever since I moved the Solo Artist Challenge to the wiki I've been wanting to add a way to track your personal solo artist achievements, and today I finally did it.
To track your own solo artist accomplishments, just go to the solo artist challenge page in the wiki, http://wiki.project1999.com/Solo_Artist_Challenge. Then, find a section with a mob you've defeated, and edit it. Next to each mob's HTML there will be a "span" tag with a style of "display:none"; add your wiki name (not your character's name, but whatever it says in the upper-right corner) into that span tag. If there are other names already there, just add a comma. For instance, I've soloed a Drovalg Warlord. If you have too you can edit the page, find this section: Code:
<span style="font-size:21px">☐</span>Code:
<span style="font-size:21px">☐</span>https://i.imgur.com/EJFdyOR.png Enjoy. P.S. Since this is new there might be bugs; if anything doesn't work just post it here. |
nice
tho dracholiche isn't really feasible since revamp, might apply to a few more things on the list too |

These would be more exciting if they weren't so specific to shamans, enchanters, Puppet String owners and people like Kelzaraz tbh. Like, the challenge isn't in killing them so much as leveling/gearing those classes and/or buying Strings/corpsing Soulfires. :3

There's no art, challenge or achieving involved here. Maybe it's just time to let this fade away, yanno. :o |
I agree with Gatmanno. When I prepped to fight Llandris I had about 60k of clickable healing in my inventory plus the ability to give myself a large array of buffs. Realizing how much you can abuse these items really took away a lot of the impressive nature of the "solo artist challenge" idea.
Maybe it would be cool to do a 1 group on raid mobs challenge idk |

Since it got created years ago the Solo Artist Challenge has always been a personal goal thing; if it's not fun for you then that's fine, it's just not for you. However I think you're throwing the baby out with the bath water when you say there's no "art, challenge, or achieving involved", especially if you limit yourself to "no charges". Just speaking for me personally there are tons of mobs on that list that I have no idea how to solo, and if I tried to right now I'd just die. But I'm sure if I took the time to learn how each mob works and how to solo it properly, and then practiced enough times on them, I could learn to solo them and add another checkmark to my personal list. To me that's the definition of "art, challenge or achieving". |

But personally I 100% agree, and I plan to do the challenge with a self-imposed "no charged items" restriction. Quote:
