Experience Penalties / Bonuses...
 

Hey all,
So I recalled reading that p99 did away with the Class specific exp penalties... I also remember reading that Warriors get an experience bonus? Is the warrior class bonus still in affect? Do halflings also get a racial exp bonus? So is a halfling warrior the fastest leveling race / class combo out there? (as far as required experience not ability to gain it)

Halfling wars, were ya. And that bonus helped their group also. Don't know if the penalties are gone, or normalized, in any case, they never were technically removed, just balanced in the back end.

Racial bonuses/penalties were not changed, so Halflings still level faster and Iksar/Trolls still level slower.

As for the classes, only the penalties were removed. Bonuses from Warrior/Rogue remain.

The whole idea was that class XP penalties were making people not want hybrids in their groups. Hybrids (especially Rangers) were already unpopular for other reasons, and making them steal XP from groups only made things worse, so Verant removed their penalties (but didn't change anything else).

There's still a 10% class penalty for playing an int robe caster isn't there? (wiz/mage/enchanter/necro)

No - all class penalties were removed, not just the hybrid ones.

Note that the remaining racial penalties were changed to self-only rather than shared across the group experience split, as well.
