How good are Shamans at killing hard stuff?

I hear about Necros and Enchanters soloing lucrative mobs and stuff. Can Shamans do any of that or are they out of luck cause they can't charm mobs and stuff?

With Torpor they may be the best cash camp soloer in the game, only rivaled by enchanters. Without it they are pretty mediocre.

The grind to get Torpor is real, but once you get it you'll be able to make the money back before you know it.

I think that's going a bit far: even without Torpor level 60 Shaman are still better soloers than almost all classes.

I guess when you look at it objectively, a non-Torpor Shaman is at the top of the pack compared to any other class besides Enchanters and Necros.

However, Torpor-Shamans and Enchanters are in a totally different league when it comes to soloing that makes Non-Torp seem weak by comparison.

I have a general rule of thumb for my shaman.

If I can slow it then I can kill it.

That should answer your question.
