I'm not positive what the exact timer for Zordak is on P99 currently, but if its more than 24 hours, or even close to or around 24 it's too long based on this patch note I found from Feb 13, 2002.

- Reduced the spawn time of the Zordak Ragefire in SoldungB. He will
now reappear every 24 hours

Its from that page. Looks like they changed him to a static 24 hour spawn at that point because he was spawning too frequently before, looking for what his timer was before this now.

If it says they reduced the spawn time to 24hrs, that would imply it should be longer on P99, not shorter as you are suggesting? Or am i missing something.

Zordak should be 3 days (2 days of variance) in our timeline.

I messed up the wording on the second part and put frequently, but he was spawning too rarely and they bumped it up to once per day, I'm assuming with the standard 10% variance they had on stuff then. Writing skills at 3am and all.

OK... but i think you are misunderstanding the original note. If they reduced it to 24hr, that still means it was higher than before. For example: he was a 3-day spawn but we reduced him to a 1-day spawn.

So the note doesn't indicate he should be less than a 24hr spawn.

I admittedly don't know much about this mob behavior, but i wouldn't infer from the note he should be less than our equal to a 24hr spawn without more evidence.

I think you're misunderstanding it. They aren't reducing his spawn rate, as in the frequency he spawns. They reduced his spawn time, as in the amount of time it takes him to spawn after death. During the time they patched this he was spawning roughly twice per week, he would despawn if naggy popped, and when naggy died his timer would start again. They made him a 24 hour spawn midway through Velious to get more hearts out there for the Clerics bottlenecked here.

I guess I'm more confused now as that note you mentioned is february 2002 which is luclin, which is what appears to reference 24hrs.

Where is the midway velious change then?

You certainly can be correct, I'm just not picking up what you're putting down and am interested to hear a better breakdown.

oh i had the launch date of luclin confused then, For some reason I thought it came out after Feb 2002, but I just checked and it was at the end of December. Sorry disregard then.
