Unable to use item effects in hotbar
 

Hello, I'm returning after a long break, reinstalled on a new computer etc.

I'm not able to use item effects (goblin gazhugi ring, rod of insidious glamour) in my hotbar with the hotbar keyboard shortcut. I have the item equipped, i drag the button to my hotbar from inventory. I can right click the hotbar button to cast the item effect, but hitting the keyboard shortcut doesn't cast the item effect.

Am I missing something obvious here?

If the item is Inventory clickable, best to drag the empty Inventory slot over to your hotbar instead of the slot filled with the clickable item.

Edit : Same for equipped items, drag the empty equip slot to the hotbar.

Tried it again with rod and ring using your advice khandman, no luck :(

If you put some other standard action like Sit/Stand in the exact same slot, and you press the same number key, does it work? I'm wondering if maybe you accidentally rebound that number key or something.

Yes, I can use stuff like sit/stand, or /loc or sense heading on that same hotkey slot.

bump. any other ideas? :(

Unfortunately all I have is "re-install EQ" :( Hopefully someone else will have a better idea.

willing to try that at this point. just need to back up my UI stuff and friends list?
