IP Ban ?
 

I could not pass the login server today which was surprising as everything was working fine yesterday. Interestingly after starting my VPN I was able to login, does that sound like an IP ban ? I would be very surprised of that as I am very respectful of players in online games. Also that would be quite a nasty surprise after donating :) any help would be appreciated.

At least provide the original error message you received...

If you're using VPN to bypass the IP restriction and 2-box, that's why you're banned.

I don't dual box, first I find boxing ridiculous and I am fully aware of the restrictions and have only one machine anyway. I am a web developer and use my VPN for other purposes. I just wanted to diagnose where the problem could be. I don't have any error message because I won't pass the loggin screen. I end up with the message "a Connection to the server cannot be reached", could it be my ISP blocking port 5998 ? this has already be mentionned on the forum somewhere.

Sorted, it seems that it was caused by my router being set to dynamic DNS. Disabled it, restarted it and it is back to normal.

As an aside, your ISP blocking port 5998 could cause issues. The wireless network at my university blocks that port...Most generic ISPs don't, though.
