Item Linking not classic?

Can anyone confirm if item linking was available during velious? I could have sworn it was added later on like planes of power?

I think it's not classic, probably hard coded in the client or it would've been removed a long time ago.

It was later than Velious but I'm pretty sure that is a side effect of the Titanium client.

Pretty sure it was luclin.

Thinking of how much I went to everlore.com to look up items is sickening.

Typing item stats out was a major pita. I remember raiding in early luclin and somehow I was the officer in charge of typing all the stats on dropped items into guild chat.

Maybe, maybe not. We have a few features--not many, to be sure--that could be fixed but remain intact because the staff prefers it that way. Mousewheel view scroll and tradeskill containers not eating items when a player clicks "combine" can be considered examples. It wouldn't shock me if item links are another "deliberately not classic" feature.

I'm never linking an item again.

Not classic

Rygar 02-11-2018 04:26 PM

It is known to be not classic, however Haynar had said it alleviates a burden on staff (believe it was RMT or item reimbursement or something)

Edit: here is the post, looks to be customer service issue involving trade scammers if removed
