Noob necro question about Vamporic Embrace

Should i even bother with it? I bought it because at lvl 8 I am still meleeing with my pet but it doesn't seem to make any difference and I can't even tell if it's proccing before I have to recast it. Any info on this? I'll settle for well opinionated insight as well.

That works. Thank you for the reply

When it procs, you can tell.
If you can't tell it's because it doesn't proc.
From what I understood playing both classes, this is mostly a (bad) shadowknight spell, on a necromancer it's spellbook decoration ;)

Having recently spun up a necro alt (currently at 18), I can say that the spell is pretty worthless. It just doesn't proc enough to justify recasting every few minutes. Maybe if you had abnormally high dexterity, but it is an underdeveloped spell regardless.

Damned SoE and their honey pot spells! Got me again! Oh well, thanks for the info. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Yeah, I was afraid of this but thought I may have a chance as an Iksar (what else would i be? :p). Even if it proc'd once a cast I'd probably recast it. Well there went 4pp down the tubes, luckily I went iksar and can farm up a few shields to sell. Thanks for the reply!

DEX does not affect proc per minute on spell based procs. The ppm is a set value inside the spell, and you have no way to modify it :)

I see. More great info. Merci beaucoup!
