OoT Sirens
 

Has anyone tried camping the sirens in OoT right after you zone from FP? I loved this spot back in the day, but I don't want to try it if I am going to get stuck there. Back in the day you just swam in front of the boat and it put you in the bottom of it. Does this still work? I think it was like level 12 for that spot, I need to get a character with gate and try it out. Thoughts?

I camped them at level 12. You're talking about that group of islands north of the island with vendors at the west end of oot, right? Anyway, that's where I was. Two sirens spawn there very close to each other.

I don't know about swimming into the boat I just bound myself on the vendor island and when I wanted to leave I gated back and waited there for the boat.

The problem with swimming into the boat, is that the boat is basically hollow unless you're on the deck, so there is no bottom floor for you to basically swim/warp into.

I spent lots of time out there with both my shaman and necro.
You have 2 options:
1)Bind yourself on Brother Isle and gate to sell, but understand you have to time the boat to take you back to FP
or
2) Bind in FP and gate out when you're done, but understand you'll wait on the boat if you leave to sell, or somehow die.

Your choice will depend on when you get bind, and how much free weight you have to the carry coin you loot. The mermaid scales are the only loot and weigh very little.

Also, no you cannot get picked up by the boat by swimming into it, gotta wait on the dock.

I swam into the bottom of the boat and warped to the top deck before.

I think the exp on these ladies wasn't so great at 13 or so though, although the kills were quite easy. Maybe my expectations were a little high.
