Can't install eq on new laptop
 

Hi guys,

I have eq titanium on a USB drive and I want to put it on my new laptop. The problem is whenever I try to run it the file opens instead of starting the install process. Any thoughts? I'm dying here! I need my eq fix!!

Btw: the laptop is running windows 10.

Do you have the ISO files for all disks on the USB drive or just a copy of the folder ? What file are you trying to run ?

Yes I have all the files on the USB drive. I've loaded eq from this USB drive countless times but never on a windows 10 os

did you try just copying your EQ folder from one of your other installs to the new computer? I've done that more than countless times.

you have not detailed your issue clearly enough. people can only make assumptions at this point.

[1] what exactly is on your USB stick? (a) or (b)
(a) the 5 ISO files of the Titanium disk installation media
(b) a copy of your EverQuest folder that was already installed somewhere else

[2] what file exactly are you trying to run?


if (a) ISO files, then you need a program to "mount" the ISO file. (ISO files need to be mounted into a virtual CD drive).
Personally, i use DAEMON Tools Lite for my virtual CD drive needs.
