North Karana Griffons (low priority)

There are not nearly as many griffons--particularly the griffons and griffienes--flying around the central portions of the North Karana zone (think around the guard towers). This zone was infamous for the number of griffons it had (probably close to, if not on par with the beetle population). Hunting there usually involved dodging griffons relatively often. On P1999, the central portions of the zone are almost wholly absent of griffons of any kind, but expecially the higher-level varieties (most of the few I do see are griffawns).

I wouldn't say that there were as many as the beetles, but there were usually a good 1-2 Griffons, and maybe 2-3 griffawns up at any one time.

It's not so much a shortage of them zone-wide, perhaps (Well, I don't know, I can't track so I've no idea how many total spawn), just they--particularly the higher level variants--practically never roam around the central portions of the zone.

Might be an incomplete pathing issue rather than a spawn issue. I don't know, hence my 'low priority' disclaimer. It's not a big deal really, zone's just rather safer for low-level players than it was on Live.

I think this was a Classic (bug). I remember an enchanter friend of mine showing that to a GM back in '99.
