Make sure you hand in the correct mage focus item (Don't do what I did!)
 

Hey guys! Just thought I would share a pretty funny mishap whilst turning in a mage focus item the other night.

When doing your mage focus item (shovel), make sure you are handing in this and not this.

I learnt the hard way! Not a big deal, but definitely a reminder to double check quest hand-ins before actually passing them to the quest NPC. I remember screwing up more important hand-ins on live due to excitement and trigger happiness.

For future reference for other people the correct Shovel is Lore, the incorrect Shovel is not lore and as you mentioned in the video a weapon.

Did you hand her the correct shovel afterwards or did you not have it at all?

I didn't have the correct shovel, but we grabbed a Broom from Najena later on that evening, and finished up the other 3 items needed.

So now I got a Broom, not a Shovel!

This is a very old EC scam, much like the Leatherfoot Raider Skullcap switch. I'm sad to see it happened. Thanks for streaming the game and keeping interest alive on Twitch or Youtube.

That must have been a horrible feeling. Gambling quest items on npcs is one of the scariest things on p99. I always record video when I turn in something.

Some newer players sell it not knowing too but yeah there are some bad eggs.
