Don't know if there's a post about this or not...

Hello.

I've been trying what seems like days now (even though its only been a few) to get the latest spellfiles updated so I could play again.

I've downloaded the files, unzipped them to my desktop, and put the new files onto the other ones in my EQ Titanium folder.

Sounds good so far right? Well...

I boot up EQ, still says spell files are out of date.

Must've done this I'm not even sure how many times now and its STILL says the same thing.

Any advice?

Thanks.

Have you tried turning your computer off and on again?

You should extract the zip file into your EQ directory rather than copy/paste - you want to overwrite various files in subfolders but not replace the subfolders completely

You may need to reinstall Everquest to get the original files back if your subfolders were overwritten

Don't post technical support in RnF. Congrats you lose. lol

Make sure you have admin rights,. Do the files in your titanium directory reflect what is in the latest update? http://www.project1999.com/files/P99Files45.zip

And as mentioned by enesis just extract the update to your eq folder and overwrite.

Only time I had problems like this was when I was mixing up my Live EQ files with my p99 ones, I am not PC savvy at all so don't ask. :p

Anyway I had to reinstall my titanium copy for p99, and then start over. That fixed it. Just make sure you are putting the updates in the proper EQ folders.

Other than that I don't know what you may be doing wrong but many others here have given you much more technical answers I am sure you will figure it out.

I didn't know where to make a post, so obviously I haven't been on here in awhile.

I appreciate the advice, and will do so after work.

Thanks again.
