Zoning crashes my EQ client - macbook pro
 

Hi all,

I just installed Windows 7 on my macbook pro and then (of course) immediately installed EQ so I could get on my necro. I have no problem getting in the game, but as soon as I try to zone, my client locks up.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Any suggestions?

try installing the latest drivers from the manufacturer for your vid card.

Have you tried the solutions in the sticky labled Crashing While Zoning yet?

Does it happen to every zone or just one specific zone?

Happens every zone, I'm not sure about the video drivers, I just installed windows 7 and then ran the bootcamp drivers provided by Mac, but i'll check it out, and let you guys know what happens.

After trying several things associated with the dual-core issues mentioned in another thread, running the program as an administrator seemed to clear up the zoning issue, although I still speed up from time to time. Its not nearly as bad however.

I am running XP on Bootcamp and having the same problem; it does just not happen on every zone, just randomly.
