Bard PL question

I have a level 52 Bard that I was hoping to have a friend use to PL me but then it dawned on me that I am not exactly sure what the most effective PL method is. From observations while playing it looks like you probably twist AoE snare and a damage shield? I also have the SS bracer that I think stacks with DS.

Basically I am curious to what the best method of PLing is, and I am also curious to where some good spots are to level a character from level 5 to 25.

I see at level 54 we get a new debuff called Selo's Assonant Strane...is this spell needed for effective PLs or does Largo' Melodic Binding work just as well?

Wow.

So many answers.

Bard PL is simple run around in circle don't get hit and sing chords close enough to land on them. No more than 25 at a time thanks to petition pussys.

Largo is garage single target don't use it.

At 54 things get hella easy aoe snare chords and dennons.

Honestly I wouldn't kite PL til you get to 54 with a buffer cause learning one style for 2 levels then switching is gonna suck.

5-14 bone chips
14-20 wisps
20-30 bread quest (new favorite) goblin ears if you are lazy

I want to PL others not myself...specifically low level characters. level 5 to 25 ideally

From my experiences Unrest seems to be a popular place to do Damage Shield Power Levels .

You might be better off in Najena, that's a more rarely used zone, but with plenty of non-fleeing undead.

It helps if the character getting PLed can do a pb AoE damage of some type, so they get the kill credit.

Gather 25 mobs (or whatever the nonclassic limit is nowadays, or as many as you want if meleeing)
AOE Snare/slow them
Let the noob do 1+dmg to each. (or PBAE)
sing a DS song
Sit.
Keep sitting.
?????
Profit

Goes faster with PBAOE stuff but since the target limit nerf it's pretty much a wash either way.

Could do 25 low blues with PBAE (low to pass resist check), or straight reds getting 1dmg on crit success rolls on melee.

Edit: Could add DS pot (kilva's skin-o-flame) and DS clicky bracer on top of the 2 DS songs. would be around a 120DS or so

Unrest is popular because it has non-fleeing mobs (won't run when low). Other options are Lguk, Kaesora, Kurns, lots of undeads don't flee.

There is no money in it but I still suggest getting to 54 first.

Yep 1-20 is pretty much not worth the time investment.

So 1. You take max damage sitting so even low lvl mobs hurt a lot more.
2. Bards get paid based on lvls and low lvls take too long for the money.
3. Druids or quests are much more efficient till you can get the PLee a pbae

20-51 are bards money.

Take it for what ya want been PLn a long time.

25 mob limit didn't slow us down at all.

Instead of 15-20min to gather I can chain pull and keep it flowing.

I'd have to disagree there. used to duo AOE down the entire DL zone for a full yellow/clear at 46-49. (full yellow, to both in the DUO, WITH bard 50% xp pen)

Was the best non-PL XP i've ever got in EQ short of chardok sillysauce

Edit: Dru/Bard
