later that day tried to get a wizard port and it said "I was protected from xyz's spell"

assuming it was b/c of my pvp status....

can anyone concur?

I have heard of the Priest in white that can reverse my actions but if i want to reroll my toon but keep the same name does anyone know if there is a time out on deleting a char and trying to start again with same name/?

Delete char and name will be available again. Ive done it with mules.. dont know the turnaround time but seemed pretty fast. Odds that someone would snipe your name in that amount of time are very low

If there is one, it is short. I started a half-elf bard for an EC mule, decided I hated how he looked, and re-rolled as a wood elf with the same name. Just over 3 minutes elapsed between the time I logged out as a half-elf and when I logged back on as a wood elf.

Yeah can't get any buffs/ports/heals from non-pvp players.

I once guided a level 8 who had made this same mistake from FP to Qeynos to do the Priest of Order quest, never saw him log in again after that day lol. At least you realized at level 1 so re-rolling is no issue.
