Mage Focus item quick question
 

I just got all 4 focus items last night woohoo! (Damn Griffon Feathers!)

My question is this...

I equip the appropriate focus in my MH. Summon matching pet. Pet is stronger (4-49 pets). Can I unequip the focus item after this? Or do I need to leave it equipped at all times? Thanks!

Yep, you can remove after. Only needed for the initial summon.

in P99's case the focus items only increase the pets size and HP, doesn't help with its actually damage and proc rate

Only the Staff of Elemental Mastery: Will increase your pets Lvl +1 (lvl49max), increasing Hps, Max hit by +2 (70Max) and increasing w/ abilities by +2dmg

Water (easiest to get and epic requirement) - Rog pet w/ Backstab
Air (Plane of Sky quest, requires Epic piece turn in, good option if you never plan on getting/seeing epic) - Monk pet w/ Kick
Fire (useless, Matter of fact DONT even bother buying your 50+ fire pets, they are useless as well) - Caster pet (casts 3spells, highest spell is a lvl12 wiz spell and 2Pnt DS)
Earth (MAIN epic requirement, Largest Bottleneck, HARDEST one to get) - Tank pet w/ Bash/Kick
