Best UI tweaks/changes for new player
 

Still coming to grips with the whole thing, was looking at EQInterface, but that seems like information overload.

Any suggestions/adjustments worth making right out of the gate?

I recommend going into options>keys and binding "cycle nearest NPCs" to tab or F. You can also look around in that menu and bind some of your hotkey bar #2 hotkeys to buttons like Q, E, C etc.

Another thing that isn't bound by default is open/close all inventory bags, I use B and shift+B for this and it works pretty well

Download DuxaUI, QQUiI, or VertUI from here on the forums. Duxa comes with an installer that fixes a lot of other issues as well.

You can download all 3, and use /loadskin <folder name> or Alt+O>Load UI Skin to switch between them to find which suits your needs. You can use these UI's as a base to tweak if you feel the need once you know what you're looking for. It seems a lot more complicated than it is.
