Does anyone ever grind here. I know I can /w all when I get home but was just wondering if anyone has some info on if groups go here often or not.

Usually quite empty.

It's a rough zone with lots of casters and it's easy to get adds.

So, most people avoid it.

Not so much on P99, so many lizards healing through walls etc makes it less appetizing. I don't often say it but I'd rather grind it out in Lower Guk :p

See if you can get a group together though and give it a shot, it's a "bring your own group" zone for sure.

at least 1 year ago I always saw groups of people there. The exp is quite good at the appropriate level. Unless you end up in a terrible group.

Usually a 60 camping the lizards near the alligator pits too. (1 lower level)

The problems I saw was people would go afk because med times at that level are long. So it was tough to keep the ball rolling. But as you enter you go in and hang a left through a door or two and there is a tiny court yard that you can pull from a building. (3 upper level)

I'd avoid the maze area to the right as you enter the zone. Clerics cast heal through walls, annoying. (to the right of 4 upper level)

If you really cant get any action going in cazic thule, consider Splitpaw Lair.

At least you can teleport right into the action.

The main problem with the zone is the lack of quality gear so then it's just for exp which isn't good enough when there are equivalent zones to exp in with good gear upgrades.

I cleared this entire zone a few months ago trying to farm decayed armor for Darkforge armor quests. Did not get one armor drop, and actually died to some bullshit at level 50, from like 7-8 lizards beating on me. Was perma stunned could not move or FD... Do not recommend :P

I am trying to do content I never did back in the day as I level so places like this are a big draw for me personally

I hear you. I am doing the exact same thing. Was very cool seeing the entire zone, even down to the chamber where the Avatar of Fear spawns (he was not up it was a PH), but except for the nostalgia factor, the hours spent there were pretty much a waste xp/loot/drop wise :/
