My statement to those who say we should appreciate P99
 

I just wanted to post a quick thread to point how people say we should
appreciate the server because its free to play. I say bullshit - the people
who made and run this server have no choice but to make it free to us. Otherwise
they get a lawsuit from Sony.

You're an idiot. They volunteered their time to make something for a bunch of people they don't even know to enjoy because of their love of the game. It's not the fucking money that they give a shit about it's the fact that idiots like you fucking cry every 2 seconds about everything and don't have the intelligence to realize that another human being dedicated their time, without even being asked, to make something for scumfucks like YOU!! Fuck, they don't even ask for a 'Thank You', and all they do get is 'Fuck You'.

No one asked them to volunteer their time, They choose to do it themselves. And if money isn't much of a concern there wouldn't be a Donate button.

Which is even more of a reason to not be a total jackass to them. It's not like someone said 'hey, do this for free'. They willingly decided 'hey, wouldn't it be cool to give people a decent version of EQ to play instead of all of the SOE garbage nonsense with their endless expansions?'

You try running a server this big and see how your electric and internet bill looks at the end of the month. The donations button is there for Rogean@co can at least break even at the end of the month when the bills come in.

I'm not or never have been a Jackass to people who run this server. And i do appreciate the server in a different context - just not that its "Free to play."
