You resolution of the game is causing this.

In-game you can hit ALT+O, click on the display tab, and pick from a few resolution options. Out of game you can edit your eqclient.ini file and change the appropriate resolution settings (depending on whether you play in windowed or full mode) to any resolution you want ... that doesn't ruin your text. I do this so I can play in windowed mode but have EQ fill the screen except for the taskbar.

There's also some way to do it from the EQ program before you log in, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I like the EQclient way because I don't play fullscreen, but I like EQ to take up the whole window. So, you can set a custom resolution to make room for that titlebar.

Example

EQCLIENT.INI
LINE 518|[VIDEOMODE]
LINE 519|WindowedWidth=1280 (Current desktop resolution)
LINE 520|WindowedHeight=1004 (Current desktop resolution-20)

With those settings, with a classic titlebar, on a 1280x1024 resolution desktop, the EQ window would cover everything without missing anything. (if you hide your start menu)
