P99 freezes for 1 - 3 seconds EQ will freeze for me every so often maybe like 5 times in an hour. After its frozen for 1 - 3 secs it will just return straight back to normal. |

a friend of mine was banging on about a similar issue. i have more questions than solutions: Does it feel like HDD lag? can you hear your disk spinning overtime when this is happening? Do you use WinEQ? Fullscreen mode or windowed? Does your mouse freeze as well? or can you move your mouse cursor freely over an EQ screen that freezes? |

I had this issue when I first started P99. It was regular hitching every so often. It wasn't constant but it was regular enough to be highly annoying and cause problems pulling mobs. My issue turned out to be that I had EQ installed on my 3TB gaming drive which is separate from my OS SSD drive. I moved my EQ directory to my local SSD drive and it cleared up the hitching for the last year or so. Recently, the hitching has sort of returned. It's not as often or as bad so I don't think it's the same thing..maybe just lag or something. Not sure. Haven't resolved the newest iteration of this issue. |

I don't use WinEQ atm. I can move mouse about and even check task manager or anything else. I'm playing on a laptop if that helps at all. Thanks for replies. |

I didn't realize just how annoying it is until I seen how smooth it is on Live then return to p99 and have this hitching issue. I am not tech savvy, so I have no answer as to what it is or how to fix it, but I can add that I do not have this problem on Live. Maybe it's a p99 thing? |

I play from flash memory on a computer with only 2gb ram. I get the yips like you describe when I'm running logs and not when I turn them off. Try turning off logs and see what happens. |

That, or filter out junk so the logs aren't writing as hard. Alternatively, check how big your logfile is - or, see if you have the same issue if you roll a new character. Maybe exclude the logs directory from your A/V if you're running one - it may be set to scan on file modification by default and if your logfile is large it could be triggering continuous scans. <eq install directory>\logs |

I don't have logs turned on atm. |

I had this starting just recently. TBH I was wondering if my laptop got a bit roughed up while travelling (recently had a couple of international flights). |
