Velious and exp penalties question
 

I have spent the last 1-2 hours searching this forum for information on the experience penalties inherent in certain classes and races. I saw in a post that the penalties(or at least some of them) were going away with the release of velious, but I haven't been able to find any kind of official post stating that that actually happened. Every post I see from it is years old(newest one was from summer 2015), and I can't find any release notes for velious(hell I can't even find anything confirming that velious actually WAS released). Searching on this forum is almost useless it seems.

In light of that, my question is: Did the penalties go away, and if so, which ones? Better yet, what are the current penalties and bonuses in relation to classes and races? I am about to make a fresh toon so I need this information. As is the case with many people, I work a lot of hours, and simply don't have the time to level a troll SK if the penalties are still in full swing from classic. If such a post exists, I would appreciate a link to one detailing the penalties(or lackthereof), and whatever changes were made(if any) with the release of velious. Thank you.

Hybrid class exp penalties are no longer in-game, but race ones remain.

20% penalty for Iksar and Trolls
15% penalty for Ogres
5% penalty for Barbarians
5% BONUS for Halflings

Thank you. That's probably why I didn't find anything. I used the word "experience" in my search terms, rather than "XP." I guess the wording the devs use isn't search friendly, which is unfortunate. Makes finding anything difficult.

I believe the class bonuses remain, it should only be the class penalties that are removed.

So basically a small xp bonus for having rogues/warriors, IIRC.

Yes any racial based malus was removed and any bonus is still active.
