Wurm Lord Shawl Farming??!?!

How bad was the farm? I've seen lots of necros with it, can other classes do so too? I plan on farming on a wizard. I have rend robe, lure staff, and other solid clickies but am just thinking about how bad it might be.

It's not a fun camp as a wizard. Even with good clicky gear, a wizard is gonna kill maybe four mobs per cycle. Fe'Dhars have about 8000 HP and they regen so fast that your clicky damage loses quite a bit of effectiveness given its long cast time. Alternating rend robe clicks with ice spears will probably be your best bet unless you can manage to quad them. I could only ever get a quad down to about 10% before going out of mana due to their regen. If you have a lot of mana, it might be doable? I eventually got a shawl after several weeks, but I think I was pretty lucky. It's a stupid rare drop.

A necro on the other hand can casually kill at least 8 per cycle and probably still have time for a quick AFK every now and again.

Very rare, seen 2 all time with hundreds of hours of enc charm killing. Probably got 10 skyfury scimitars in the time it took to get the shawl... Most hours it's taken me to camp an item I was after in the history of this game.. Good luck!

ULTRA rare and good luck. Easy to farm with an epic pet though.

maybe I should try to farm with my druid
