New rogue

I am a new rogue player and I had a question how does sneak turn in work I tried it in qeynos and got ganked lol, also does anyone know how many gnoll kills it will take till a delf is no longer KOS in qeynos.

I did it with an iksar and it took a lot. A lot

Basically everything has a front side cone of vision. Sneaking behind that cone without hide up (turn in with both activated breaks both, same w/ pickpocket or vendors) makes them con indifferent. If you can get behind something with sneak, then drop your hide, you can vendor / bank / turn in quests provided there's not another KoS npc looking at you when you do it. You can even do it then if you hide quickly after opening window and get lucky with server tick, although it's risky.

That explains it I tried doing it with both on lol. Thank you

You have to turn hide off because the game will cancel both sneak and hide if you do it with hide on.

can a bard, hide n sneak, ears to http://wiki.project1999.com/Captain_Bosec

got about 35 skill in each of those. never tried doin turn ins like this before. he walks around to 3 points, so will require good timing....

am considering going guard huntin in HHK, just wondering about balancing out faction issues(with ears)

He paths around. Makes sneak turn ins a head ache. Bard could just charm and hand in items all day though. Other solutions would be trying wolf-form (which never works in experience, esp for truely KoS people) and having someone snare and zone to "root" him in place.

Being KoS to highpass / WFP / EFP isn't a big deal though. Every raider on the server, practically, is KoS from soulfires.

Unless the coding is different for each NPC/quest, charming won't work. You'll still get quest exp, but the faction gains don't apply on a charmed mob. I did this with muffins to Pandos on my sk...in order for it to work you have to have someone charm him so you can start the turn-in, then go invis (both of you) to negate charm and get your faction to indifferent, then hit give on the trade window. With practice, and someone to heal the bard getting beat on repeatedly, it can go quite fast. Once you get high enough, you could then do faction song and/or wolf form to do the rest.

`in order for it to work you have to have someone charm him so you can start the turn-in, then go invis (both of you) to negate charm and get your faction to indifferent, `

so you could charm the mob, open the turn in window, hit hide, to break charm and then hit the turn in button? recharm etc

I don't think that would work. You would be kos to the NPC if he were attacking you. You'd need his attention on someone else.
