New EQ player incoming
 

I'm new to the EQ scene and have always been fascinated by the core concept of MMO's which in my eyes is meeting new people online and having a good time. Even though I've only played modern MMO's, whenever I played with a group the games would always shine their brightest, but as games became more and more solo-able groups were very hard to come by. When I dabbled in EQ live I wasn't really impressed until I found my first dungeon group. We would actually have human conversations and people would help me with mechanics I didn't understand etc. That is the experience I'm looking for.

I will work on finding the ISO files later tonight. Not sure which class to pick but I'm almost certain I'm going with the Iksar race. I'll keep this thread updated with install progress and other things.

Figured it all out, I'm level 6 on my iksar and just recently joined a guild!

Think we grouped the other night, Sinraw. Shadow knight correct? That's a fun class! Some solo ability but needed in groups as well! Good luck! When you get to Kurn's (if you're not there already), stayed SoWed and learn the pulls. You will be king in there. Get them one chips and as many spider silks as possible to sell/trade.

Welcome to EQ. Good to see people of the modern MMO space find a game like EQ to be enjoyable. A small amount of hope that not all want easy mode cash shop games and maybe a game like Pantheon is viable.
