bard AOE and Unrest
 

I dont see many bards at Unrest. Do bards AOE's like mez or slow extend vertically through floors? I have a bard that I was thinking about moving there. For example at the FP camp would an AOE aggro those mobs below or above?

No they don't work through walls or floors

This is Unrest we're talking about, the pathing is buggy and in a couple of places I imagine it is possible to aggro with aoe songs.

If you stood near the fireplace wall where most groups sit and try aoe songs it might be enough to aggro the room up the stairs to the right if it isn't already pulled/dead.

Just make a macro so when you turn on AOE mez it says to group, "auto-pull initiated" and you are covered.

It's a 22minute respawn zone, with exp mobs spread all over the place inside a building.
Also popular lowbie exp zone, so not gonna get you many friends ae kiting in there.

I doubt there's any variety to this character archetype.

bards are misunderstood - they just want to sing and be seen/heard.

He didn't say anything about kiting :/ Rather he asked if using his aoe SLOW and MEZ might bring additional mobs. Sounds to me like he's trying to group without getting them killed. Not aoe all of unrest...
