You can not attach a debugger while playing Project 1999
Fresh install on W10. I don't have a debugger. Tried as admin and it says it can't find eqgame.exe. I navigated directories manually in admin cmd and use start eqgame patchme to no avail.
Help would be appreciated. |
Restart your computer til it stops doing it. This is the only fix for this that we know of.

I uninstalled AVG protection and it worked.

Nice. Obviously install a AV so you don't get any nasties. Avast is a good alternative to AVG
|
I found a better solution. I am also using Windows 10 and AVG and had the same problem.
Solution: Added eqgame.exe to the excpetions list in AVG |
how do you add it to excpetions on AVG? i can't find it anywhere =/
|
"cannot attach debugger" and "cannot fine eqgame" are seperate errors; the "cannot find" often happens when a batch file (.bat) is run in administrator mode, which tends to make it start in windows\system32, since a batch file is really a dos prompt, and that's where admin-level cmd prompts start. Since there's no eqgame.exe in windows\system32.... blah blah blah...
