Spells are not working on Erudite Necro

Level 4 Erudite Neco cannot cast in Paineel or Tox forest. When I attempt to cast a spell with full mana I get "Insufficient Mana to Cast spell" and mana pool goes to 0.

I had the exact same problem and buying a drink solved it.

Kind of annoying though because I have summon drink, but I couldn't use it.
