a dracoliche should be 7 day respawn

there's been a lot of evidence posted for this over the years, it's one of those things where buckets of proof was given, and then it just kinda... disappeared. admittedly, it was back in the day where a lot of very big things needed attention. it worked, and that was awesome. I just feel like now we've reached the point where npc polish is alright.

https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=187803 - 3rd post down in this thread shows that it was 7 day on eqmac

http://www.angelfire.com/games/EciRaids/PoFFaQ.html - from fear1.0, interesting thing here is that this shows that even classic draco shouldve been 7 days - it was always 3 days here and that was held over into fear 2.0

http://www.monkly-business.net/forum...hp/t-8845.html - fear1.0 again
"Dracoliche, level 53, 7 days, Plane of Fear"
"Dracoliche****, level 53, instant, 7 day respawn, Plane of Fear"
"**** - I'm not sure if Draco respawns on his own, or only when CT respawns the zone when he spawns. "

https://web.archive.org/web/20000616...racoliche.html - one more fear1.0 for good measure. The only reason draco stayed 3 day spawn in 2.0 here is that it's what he had always been in 1.0, so it was just brought over.

"raucous raev" throws verbalized javelins to you and you jam them into your ears with no hesitation -
"Well it looks like Draco should be on a 7 day timer from what I have read (WTS BCG 500k)."

"The Daldotani" made another needlessly complex video for you

"Dracoliche should respawn 7 days after death AKA only should spawn when Cazic Thule pops. Also should be removed from raid target list."

http://jadedynasty.yuku.com/topic/12...s#.WAjnUPkrJD8 - yep, thats a fear2.0 draco. one two three four five six seven ei-- err . seven. seven days

http://eqdiary.tripod.com/quests/spawns.htm - yet another fear2 7day respawn.

https://pakcafaneq.wordpress.com/everquest-spawn-times/ - fear2. 7 day respawn.

sorry for the carpetbombing, I just didn't know what angle to take this time. We've got two leaders of industry, multiple links from legit old school guilds showing that - surprise! - we probably had it wrong from fear1.

it's time to learn from our bone-clasped mistakes of yesterday, before we sack our children with a grotesque megafucking

oh i see you Golems, dont start celebrating yet. coming soon: some blobs lose their social club memberships, join hippie cult

EQlizer was the shit

7 day was the classic norm for the raid mobs, I dont even know any that were on 3 day. Maestro also was proven with evidence he shouldnt have been 3 day but rather 24 hour spawn!

its in another bug report thread tho

Fixed, pending update

Will it still respawn with CT? and then you basically have a 50/50 chance of it spawning before the new CT, potentially giving you 2 Dracos that week?

Daldaen 11-08-2016 07:38 PM

That is my understanding Culkasi, until we can rid ourselves of the disease that is variance.

perhaps he should only spawn when CT spawns, that'd probably be the most elegant solution, especially in a world where CT dies within an hour of spawning. in an alternate dimension where CT stayed up for weeks but draco was killed, this would obviously not work.

i think the proposed mechanics will be interesting, as it's going to create an interesting dynamic: you have a decent chance of having CT spawn on you if you risk zoning in to kill a re-pop draco with an active CT window, which would seemingly force that guild to concede CT/draco (and golems when they are finally properly changed to raid mobs, hue hue)

anyways, thanks nilbog. #classic
