Blacksmithing issue ?
 

I was trying to make a skinning knife earlier and when I put all the materials into the forge with nothing stacking and hit combined I got a message saying that these items could not be combined together.

I tried multiple forges in Freeport and got the same message.

Is this item bugged ? or am I doing something wrong ?

I think this is one of the recipes that was bugged in the last patch and has not yet been fixed. The last I heard (which was about a week ago) is that the fix for these is due any day now. But I do not know for sure when they'll be fixed.

Many tradeskill recipes are broken at the moment. I can't confirm that's one of them, but it probably isn't anything you're doing wrong. There's a thread about the issue in the bugs forum.

Yeah, skinning knife is one of the broken ones. The ETA for the fix was this past weekend. Sadly, we have yet to have it applied and the server restarted. Rogean has been messaged twice by Ropethunder.

I made a skinning knife about a week ago. Just happy I capped all the trade skills I wanted years ago. These DNCs must suck.

I couldn't make leather padding the other day either. Seems like quite a few recipes were screwed up.

Yeah the skinning knife and the leather padding have been broken for a week or two. Hopefully they will be fixed when server comes back up.

I wouldn't get too proud of yourself Cecily. Just last night you got mugged by a level 25 rogue.
