Melee patch

How much will the 2hander buff and swapping of SK to warrior tables improve there dps? i know they will never outdps a monk or so, but curious to how much it will effect them.

---ABOUT THE CHANGES IN GENERAL---

It is very important to us that our players understand our goals when making these changes. First and foremost, our goal is NOT to make any particular high-level encounter easier, nor the game easier as a whole. Our goal is that the group makeup at those high-level encounters become more diverse, with more classes, ideally all of them, feeling that they can contribute meaningfully to most encounters. Obviously there will always be some encounters where a particular classes utility should be greatly negated, but those should be the exception and included as a matter of story, rather than the rule.

hint of homogenization in there but not from same standpoint or aim as some of the more popular instances...

Nice link!

Paraphrasing: [Previously knights did about half as much damage as a warrior. After the update they should do about 3/4 as much damage].

So in response to OP, it sounds like you should expect to deal about 50% more melee damage (1/2 * 1.5 = 3/4) with two-handers. One-handers should see a smaller increase.

In the spirit of what's been going on the past forever with Knights and red 230 Defense skill, I suggest that any class that gets 2h triple attack must first zone into Erudin palace before the triple attacks starts working. Each time said character is logged on, of course.
