Auction Logs

Stairs's excellent auction tracker needs more logs. A bunch of different people could upload short logs like the site asks, sure; but a single person could pretty easily do all the work. All that needs to be done is to have a character constantly online and AFK in East Commonlands, logging the auctions. Every once in a while, maybe once a week, you upload them to the tracker. When you need to play, you sign off of the character and stop logging for the duration; when you're done playing, you get on the character again and continue logging.

Obviously someone who doesn't play a ton is ideal for this job, maybe even someone who doesn't play anymore and just lurks the forums. But really, even if you play four hours a day, you'd be logging 5/6 of all auctions, which is plenty. I'd do it myself, except I don't keep my computer on constantly to save energy; but if you already keep your computer on constantly, this would be a super-easy job.

Any takers?

Sounds like the perfect task for our friendly neighborhood Bob!

Ya Bob should do this for sure.

I plan on leaving a no-name level 1 human in EC with logging in to get these numbers for the site when I'm not playing. I think if we had just 2 or 3 people doing that and helping to prune the item list the site would be a lot more effective. :)

Good man.

Bumping this thread - there don't appear to be any logs uploaded since late January!

I noticed last weekend that the site had no new data in like 3 weeks. So I intentionally put an alt in the EC for all last Saturday night and uploaded the log. Still nothing, I think its more likely the data just isn't being parsed in anymore.

I see. I'll ask Stairs.

Stairs fixed it - the auction tracker is now updating again and has logs from the past month.
