Strategies to even out fight when my charmed pet is OP?
 

So as a solo enchanter when I'm sending to mobs to attack each other, the best I can hope for is them to be equal levels so they beat each other up equally and when I break charm they are both one nuke away from death.

If the non-charmed mob it more powerful, I have a number of tools to weaken him or buff my pet to even the fight out.

If my pet is OP, the best I have is /pet sit, and often times that is not enough to make a meaningful difference during the fight.

What kinds of mana efficient strategies do you guys use to lower health of your charmed mob?

Go grab another mob and let 2 beat on your pet. Once pet is low, break and finish.

Does giving your charmed pet a shield alter its dynamic?

1. root target
2. pull pet back
3. send pet against another one
4. mez first one if needed
5. help pet bring 2nd target down
6. break charm
7. finish all 3 mobs
8. profit!

This. Watch videos in my sig, I'm usually pulling more than 2 at a time. It's harder before like 30-35 especially if untwinked though. If your pet still massacres stuff just consider letting him eat half the xp on some kills to get him lower without using too much mana, or don't charm that mob and isntead just keep him rooted while you feed weaker pets to him.
