Game keeps going into windowed mode once I join a server, and there is no config file
 

When I launch the game it is fullscreen, but as soon I start loading into the world the game goes into windowed mode and it increases the brightness of my pc. The eqclient.ini file that is supposed to have my config files is not there. Also I would like to note that when I try to change my settings on the main menu, they never save. I have installed and reinstalled the game many times without anything changing, please help.
