Monk 2HB epic swap trick
 

Anyone actually parsed this? is it worth all the hassle?

I have not personally but others have and sore it is better than epic and SoS. I do it all the time and had become 2nd nature, it's not always perfect but good enough.

I solo with it it the hole, 24% worn haste plus epic. Makes me less depressed to see some small punch damage after a 2hb miss! I find myself taking less damage too, although not parsed liked you asked

I would expect a 10-15% improvement in DPS doing this consistently. The DPS increase should be bigger with a tstaff/PB than with IFS since your offhand fist is essentially 40 delay with the IFS and 30 delay with the tstaff/PB.

One question you could ask yourself is if you think having a 9 dmg offhand weapon swinging once per delay of your 2her is worth the hassle to you.

Kelor it would be quite easy for you to parse with gamparse - just be consistent with the swapping over as many fights as you can manage (preferably solo so you control the circumstances), then look at your parse results for punch DPS and % of total damage done.

can't tab out effectively after hitting auto attack, not worth it.

One thing I will say, is I find myself not hitting flying kick as quickly as I could when it refreshes. I am so focused on catching the switch I often lose a second or two on the kick, so effectively lose some dps there.

In combat bind wound is tough as well, since you can't cast your epic haste when the bandage is applying else it cancels, so kick can't be macroed with epic.

Math done assuming level 60 monk & perfect weapon swaps. Does not include damage from tranquil staff procs.
Formula:

((DMG*2)+DMG BONUS)/DELAY

Primary DPS + (Secondary DPS * 0.78) = TOTAL DPS

Tranquil Staff = 2.5 DPS
+ Epic Weaponswapped = 0.6 DPS
Total DPS = 2.968

Epic Fist = 1.8125
+ Stave of Shielding (OFFHAND) = 1.214
Total DPS = 2.759

Not worth the hassle then.

Doing 10% or more additional damage isn't worth the hassle? Too many lazy monks on this server.

Seriously. There are not many ways out there to get a DPS buff this big.
