Velium Vapors dialog backwards?

[Mon Jun 20 19:07:37 2016] You say, 'Hail, Frundle Frenkler'

[Mon Jun 20 19:07:43 2016] Frundle Frenkler says, 'Ahh, you come seeking my family recipe? After all you've done for our people it's the least I can do. First you must fashion a velium vial, then combine the vial with two small pieces of velium in this jar. That's all there is to it. Please keep the recipe a secret.'

She does NOT give you the purifier after this dialog, as she seems to think she is doing.

She gives you the purifier when you initiate THIS dialog instead. Seems backwards, but maybe wrong because classic?

I said the "wrong" phrase the other night when trying to re-stock my thurg pot, and couldn't figure out WTF was wrong since she was telling me "here's the thing you need!" but I wasn't getting it! Today I just started saying other things to get her to talk and realized that it's screwed up, at least from a logical standpoint.

Classic, not all Velious quests use bracketed keywords.

That's not what Droog is saying. The NPC should give you the purifier on the trigger phrase "What velium vapors?" but instead she's giving it to you when you say "what velium vial?"

since we need evidence

The major sites use an original walkthrough which describes using the input "what velium vial" and then receiving the purifier. This is likely how the quest was adapted for P99.

However, it appears that other sites and comments indicate that "vapors" may be the correct trigger. If someone wants to jump on live and report back when Frundle hands it over, it would provide another data point.

Small Pieces of Velium and Small Blocks of Velium can be looted on Ry`Gorr Miners in Crystal Caverns or off spiders in Velketor's Labyrinth.

she will give you a 4 slot purifier. it is a container, so you will need an open inventory slot.

Checked on live, received the purifier upon asking "What velium vapors?"

If you ask about a velium vial, does she also give you the purifier?

She didn't give me anything when I asked about the vial. It was only the velium vapors that got me the purifier.

Thanks for doing the research and the fix. A minor thing, but cool just the same :)
