Nearly Naked Necromancer
 

If you could only have ONE piece of equipment on your necromancer (inventory clickables bags etc not withstanding) what would you wear?

Can't answer without knowing exactly how P1999 does the stacking of fungal growth.

There are only 2 items that can give a Necromancer health regeneration...one costs 300k and doesn’t drop anymore, the other costs 150k and drops off a Velious dragon…

If you have 150k, get a Zlandicar Heart - I bought one this weekend from the funds of my CoF and Holgresh Beads and it is a game changer for me (the regen is extremely noticeable and stacks).

I leveled my necro to 55+ with like 8 empty equipment slots....I am just now getting items in some slots and I still have a many with terrible items (No stat gear, ect). You can pick stuff up along the way (Diamondine Earrings in MM, Hooded Black Cloak in MM, Braclet in KC, Mask of Worms in HS, ect, ect)...there are various items you can pick up along the way that you dont need to start with. Get a good robe though if you have the means.

If I had to rank Necromancer items of importance…

1) Pre-nerf Fungi Staff is essentially the best item in the game for any class, but especially the necro – 300k

2) Zlandicar Heart (only main hand though *grumble*) – 150k

3) Circlet of Shadow (instant Invis) – 10k

4) Jboots – 7k

5) Staff of Dreaded Gaze (limited usefulness really) – 20k

6) Holgresh Beads (Cant summon while a pets up – limited usefulness on Necro) – price fluctuating, around 100k - 130k now

Everything else that’s useful is no drop (Velious Armor, VP Staff, Epic, ect, ect).

CoS and Jboots are all a necro needs

Circlet of Shadows #1 important thing.

Other stuff can be overcome, but there isn't anything like instant invis.

Pre-Nerf Fungi
10th Coldain Ring
Zlandicar Heart
Dain Belt / Dozekar Boots / Chardok Multi-Slot (I believe those are the only 3 stackable AoB on a Necro)
Epic
Holgresh Elder Beads

Staff of Dreaded Gaze
SoW Pots

I think that's how I'd rank Necro gear.

Would this hypothetical necromancer be soloing or grouping?

The Circlet of Shadow really cant be over praised enough - it's the best item by a mile in terms of utility/cost/availability
