Best place to farm Chilling embrace?
 

Looking for this spell soon for my Necromancer.

Does it stack with Venom of the Snake?

I have pretty good luck with that range of spells and to the level 50 velious spells in great divide at the shardwurm matriarch

You have a ton of really strong DoT's in that level range. 2 of which being virtually unressistable. This was kind of a useless spell until they changed it to be really group friendly short duration poison DoT. I couldn't see a necro solo or grouping making room for this spell on their spell bar. That said, im pretty sure it did stack with the poison line.

It's pretty efficient and burns faster than the fire dot in that tier (more damage, lower duration). It also does not have a dd component so can be used without breaking root.

Then again the fire dot is nigh unresistable on level appropriate content - so there's that.

Chilling Embrace does the most damage at level 39, 40/tick for 16 ticks is 640 damage for 200 mana. 3.2 dpm no chance to break root.

Boil Blood is 24 damage for max of 21 ticks or 504 damage for 150 mana, 3.36 dpm is most efficient.

Scourge can break root and does 544 damage over 21 ticks for 170 mana, 3.2 dpm. This spell is inferior to Chilling Embrace, it can break root and it takes longer.

Adding that I got a few key spells from sirens(outside SG, 2 spawns).

They dropped
- Invisibility to Undead(wiz only)
- Chilling Embrace
- Elemental Maelstrom

I'm sure they drop all the others around that level as well. I think Boon of the Garou is another.
