Disable "Thunder" sound

Does anyone have a walkthrough of how to disable the "Thunder" sound? I just can't take it anymore.

Someone from the live servers when I was playing on Ragefire had a nice write-up of some files to delete and modify and I am hoping someone on this server knows how to do it with what we have. It also allowed to disable other really annoying sounds, basically any that you wanted.

+1million upvotes to anyone with any info.

Do you just delete the ones you don't want?

Yes, his link he provided gives all the details. Just simply opening a text file and deleting what you don't want. Works great!

I've gotten so used to the thunder sound because it seem every time I play, it begins raining and thundering...
