Is there a guild I could join? I want to be a rouge, what race would be the best??

Barbarians have the best starting stats, and can throw boulders... but they're out in a place where nobody else really goes.

I'd pick a race you like and go from there... personally I can't play small races and deal with the view of stabbing a mob's legs - went half elf for mine and started in Kelethin ^^

Gnomes for ultimate adorableness

Yeah the half elf rogue start in kelethin is nice, what I did. Always a good population in those zones for groups.

First step in becoming a Rogue is to take off the rouge. You don't want bright red cheeks when you are trying to be sneaky. ;)

pick a race you cannot get an illusion mask to turn into them, so you can have more appearances. i chose human
