still on Zek, still having fun w/ Thrilla n pals. Takes two days to hit level 50 in the hotzones.

roll a top 5 class, get kills regardless of gear. The resist system is designed to make sure regardless of gear everyone has a fair shake. Some classes still cant get a fair shake against geared players despite this (Ench) but dotters and nukers are doing well against BIS gear when the RNG is on their side.

Read that again incase you had reservations about joining late due to gear.

Will SK's beat the shit out of you? Probably. That's life. Melee are savage here with weaps n gear. Despite all the QQ that hybrids can't cast ice comet, melee tables and melee hitrate is very amped up.

Monk fists are amazing at 50. Watched a new monk murder a BIS shaman the other night by sticking on him tight.

Just saw a solo shaman go from 0 points 2-3 weeks ago to 1,300 (that's beyond full BIS) points by himself just by knowing how to city pvp, wall-walking, killing afks, and finding other new players in the hot areas. And shaman is not even considered a "top 5" class..

If thrills was part of my crew ID keep that to myself.

XP got REAL SLOW at level 5...

First you need to join evil team in nexus to get the best buff location (Felwithe). You use nexus as the base of operations. Use the Nexus team teleport to send you back to the city your team owns (Felwithe)

Wait for full buffs in felwithe outside of the pally guild area, and then beg lava shield from a geared player (its a earring click) or beg a 50 mage in Nexus or felwithe.

kill mostly even cons,yellows,reds don't kill anything below 1 level for best rate. And only exp in hotzones. That's crushbone for starters.

Everyone can get powerleveled in some way, you just aren't using the box correctly.

With a few patch heals I did 1-25 in 2 hours.

It was something to do with needing to repatch my EQ folder (or make a copy of it).

While not hard, it just seemed like too much effort for a box that gets wiped every xx days/months.
