Login errors

I've been getting several different login errors starting this morning:
1) at the initial 'account login' I get 2 different ones
-a window that says 'Connecting to server, Please wait' that never goes away and never connects
- Error -Timeout

2)If I make it past that, I get to server select:
- I often get no servers listed
- I have servers listed but get the message 'An unexpected error occured when connecting to the server'

Of the approximately 30 times I've tried to login over the last 4 hours, I've made it actually in-game 5 times, and each time I've crashed while zoning.

Anyone having this problem?

Edit: Yes I'm using WinEQ2.15

I just logged in without any problems.

What does your dbg.txt say?

Well humm...

Have you tried logging in without WinEQ? If it still has a problem, it might be reflected in your dbg.txt that way... and if not, well then we can think it might be a WinEQ-related issue.

quellren 12-20-2010 03:50 PM

No change when running without WinEQ.

I did make it to Char select once in the last hour, game crashed to acct login before I got ingame.

quellren 12-21-2010 01:38 PM

Reinstalled game, still having this problem. I I've tried to login about a dozen times this morning, and made it to char select twice, but froze and crashed when entering the world bot thimes

I could it be my ISP? Everything else works fine, the net, other online games...

Anyone have any ideas?

nilbog 12-21-2010 01:39 PM

Using wireless?

Chanus 12-21-2010 01:40 PM

Might be anti-virus ... maybe? I know that's been an issue before on Live.

I'm running short on ideas as well.

quellren 12-21-2010 01:49 PM

I am using wireless, but I've been playing here for more than 6 months and never had the connection blink. What could change? Im also sitting in the same room, about 8 feet from the router

I am using AVG anti-virus, same as I've been using for the last 2 years.

Thanks for the help troubleshooting guys.

Chanus 12-21-2010 01:50 PM

Just a personal anecdote, but I had a ton of issues with various video games that magically cleared up when I dropped AVG and switched to Microsoft Security Essentials.

I think they were mostly or all Steam games, though.
