Finally found a copy of Canni 4
Paid a lot more than I would have liked, but god damn this spell is a game changer.
I can only imagine how nice it is with torpor. |
Regardless in the difference in conversion efficiency, the sheer reduction in button spam rate makes the spell a good upgrade from the old one. Having to canni only about half as often adds up to a great many fewer clicks during the course of a multi-hour session.

I just won Canni IV on a raid yesterday, and I didn't realize how much more efficient it is. Where the first 3 Canni's are gradual upgrades of each other, Canni IV is nearly double the mana of Canni III. I've had torpor for 4 months and have been using Canni III, and I think my wrists and mouse were about to give out.
Cannibalize I: consume 50 hp, gain 30 Mana (conversion ratio is 2.63 hp:mana) Cannibalize II: consume 67 hp, gain 42 Mana (conversion ratio is 2.23 hp:mana) Cannibalize III: consume 100 hp, gain 47 Mana (conversion ratio is 2.56 hp:mana) Cannibalize IV: consume 148 hp, gain 82 Mana (conversion ratio is 1.83 hp:mana) It will be nice to see the spell price fall to 10k or lower someday, but that may take a while. What drops this and can anyone share any stories so we can get our shamans maximizing our returns? Thanks!

Best way is killing the lesser named dragons in WW so they say. A well geared torpor shaman can apparently solo them, otherwise they are apparently groupable. The spell is no longer all that rare.
I spend about 50% less time canni-ing for greater returns on mana. 2 canni 3s is about the same hp lost as 1 cann4. 1 Canni4 gives more than double the mana of 2 canni 3s. Troll + regrowth + fungi + canni 4 chaingun + more time sitting on my ass = a lot more mana (and a lot quicker on demand). |
